Sincere Smiles- Day Ten of NaPoWriMo

Sincere Smiles
by Jay Crider

Serving up sincere smiles
only to be defeated by your rush.
Taking your order with attention
only to be discouraged by your rudeness.
Exceeding your expectations with your
addition and subtraction
even though this is not burger king.
Excellent kindness I offer
with a gleam in my eye
truth in palate
your crippling stares
your uneducated judgment
your passive appreciation
unwanted and undeserved
“Next Please,
May I take your order.”
