The Thirteenth of April – Day thirteen of NaPoWriMo

The Thirteenth of April
by Jay Crider

After the noon sun
weeds eaten
the yard done
the air, grass sweetened.

The dead winter vines
make way for springs green.
Daylight brightly shines
the past is swept clean.

Dogwood flash struck blooms
scattering its yellow dust.
Searing heat looms
this you can trust.

Dirt Brown eyes spice up this beautiful day.
Memory saturated earth is my way.
